I protest against US attacks in Pakistan

Words cannot express the full extent of our anger and frustration while it is simultaneously impossible to also convey our helplessness when we stand and watch a deranged, rouge foreign militia repeatedly choosing to launch invasions after invasions into our territory in pursuit of their ‘own’ seven year war on terror. It is this inhumanity that infuriates us as in the path of their destruction they leave behind dozens of our own citizens dead, mutilated and injured simply left for us to clean, mop and heal.

It has been a very well known fact that this past week the Government of Pakistan had ordered its army to seize all activities in the troubled areas of Pakistan, a move taken to pacify the tensions and an attempt to try and bring the warring factions on the negotiation table, but this was also a goodwill message in the holy month of Ramazan. Despite those local efforts the US Army continues run daily bombing sorties of pilot-less drones into the North Waziristan area, whatever explanation they may have in defense, it truly must signify an assault on a sovereign nations trying to ransack our country for their own agenda. Could it be that someone forgot to teach these Texan cowboys that the use of force makes matters worse, not better. It is this inhumane aggression that has made far more freedom fighters than actually reducing them, and if these aggressiveness were to continue I can only imagine it to get worse, not better

I now join Farhan Janjua and Adnan Siddiqui in condemning these US invasions on Pakistan. This is just our voice to say no and condemn the US Government for their attacks on Pakistan, we naturally urge all Pakistanis to join us hand in hand asking the newly elected government to stop negotiation with the US Government and say enough is enough.

Its time for us to resurrect Pakistan and start the healing process, now is the time or else I fear Pakistan is headed for a far tumultuous future and at that time these so-called bribing allies will stand eagerly on the sidelines eagerly waiting for their own share of the cake, little willing to lend us a helping hand then.

Sir, how does this solve the problem?

Also, do you support or denounce Jalaluddin Haqqani using Pakistani soil to train and send militants to Afghanistan – leading to Monday’s missile attack on his madrassa?
If you support it, you’re directly involving yourself in a war against the United States, which justifies direct US attacks.
If you denounce it, why had the Pakistani military not stopped Haqqani, and why don’t you express similar anger and frustration at Pakistan lending land to terrorists? (Haqqani’s son actually told reporters by telephone he wasn’t hurt because he is in Afghanistan for Jihad – how do you deny that?)

Pardon me for this reality check, but this is a war. If you shelter one side, the other side attacks you – and will not care about what your bloggers think 🙂

    Paagal Insaan,

Get your head out of your behind, shake off the shit, turn off CNN and listen up. This version of Jihad, creation of Mujahedin (the grand daddy of Taliban), financing for Madrasas, the weaponization of NWFP and generally Pakistan are ALL results of policies that Pakistan at the time of that traitor-du-jour Zia-ul-Haq was forced to accept in order for USA to beat USSR. They and their Saudi whores, paid for it, mobilized it, provided the weapons with complete disregard for the people in the region and the utter devastation that was to follow.

This Genie is now out of the bottle and can not go back in just because Uncle Sam now favors ‘Enlightened Moderation’.

The solution: US and ALL foreign forces must leave. People must me allowed to rebuild their lives and as far as Islamic extremism is concern it can only be tackled when people feel safe and injustice is ended.

This droned in government like its predecessor is corrupt to the core, it will not be able to control the situation because we have a case of unfolding ZardariGate. The man has promised every thing to every body, except justice to Pakistani citizens.

If you have to turn on the CNN or BBC now please go ahead so you could get your daily dose of Enlightened Moderation.

The party is just begining. Predators, boots on the ground, Generals nodding ‘yes’, armies killing their own people. These are all preludes of the new Pakistan. Prepare for the new colonialism — we were always a servant nation, why should we expect anything different now?

It’s interesting to note that every single response to my comment begins with an insult 🙂 Are Pakistanis intolerant or illiterate?

Karachi-Wala: ‘You pathetic moron’, you justify global terrorism?

KarimG: a) Why’re you so charged up? Relax, it’s only a blog
    b) Sir, Pakistan was not ‘forced’ to join the US war against the USSR. i) We asked the US to fund our Jihad and Senator Charlie Wilson somehow saw a goal alignment, and ii) We were backing Gulbadin Hekmatyar’s Hizb-e-Islami (that Jalaluddin Haqqani – the commander targeted in Monday’s strike – was a member of) long before the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The group was formed in Pakistan in 1975 (long before the launch of Geo TV).
    c) You say the problem will magically solve itself if the US leaves Afghanistan. Sir, the US had left Afghanistan after the Russians withdrew and may not have returned if Pakistan had not formed the Taliban – to invade a neighboring country in the name of forming ‘strategic depth’. Why did extremism not magically end last time all foreign forces left Afghanistan?

notanky: I did not get even a word of what you said although you pasted it twice. I’m sorry.

Heck, these fiends will kill innocent folks in countries like Pakistan if it meant providing a lifeline for their party candidate in their forthcoming elections.

The source of humiliation and disgust is our own generals and miscellaneous who are killing their own countrymen for money. They are the accessories to the murder and mayhem. No wonder, the global Mafioso bully can get away with murders. No wonder, our esteem around the world is zilch. And with the crooks and criminals “reinforced” in our ruling elite – breech of our sovereignty will become a common occurrence.

Since “restoration-work” will NOT start from Islamabad – it is for us to stand up and kick the merde out of the gringos, generals and their poodles!

sometimes i despair that the pakistani blogosphere is just as agenda driven as all those large media behemoths we love to despise.

pagalinsaan made some intelligent observations which were just attacked viciously. but his point is valid. when all foriegn forces leave, which they will once they get sick of this, what happens to us? remember last time they left afghanistan?

karachi was flushed with guns and heroin. pakistani generals decided to start selling drugs (mehrangate) and install puppet rulers in a country we had been fucking with for over two decades. and former heads of the army turned renegade primarily because they felt that the US had let them down, much like a jilted lover.

i’m sorry, but these are facts we must acknowledge. why is is that we can condemn angooradda, but not kohat? why condemn drone strikes, but not the suicide deaths in wah etc?

i’ll tell you why. its cuz its fashionable to condemn the US in the loudest voice possible, whereever they do their despicable acts. but if you condemn the TTP for example, it would put you on the same side of the fence as the US. and no one wants that. its too embarassing to be caught supporting Uncle Sam. so its better to shout loud and proud when we can pick on US actions. and let out a deafening silence when the people we were standing up for prove to be just as monstrous as the ones we were condemning.

    its pathetic.

“Pakistan was not forced” what planet you live on man. Besides the nuclear issue (and I have my doubts over that too) Pakistan has never been able to make policies without influence. And how can we, with so many corrupt mouths to feed who have looted the country, how could we? Right from the inception country has been begging at the door of donor countries till this very day and has been designated a role no greater than a peon of imperialists in the region. Do you believe that they give us money and demand nothing? Haven’t you heard the threat of “carpet gold or being bombed to stone age”. The Afghan-Soviet war of 80s was never ours to fight, never. The crap about defending Islam against godless soviets was a sinister slogan that US and Pakistani administrations knew was for public consumption. Let me leave you with some food for thought:
We declared Soviets enemy, enemy of Islam, we supported people fighting against them with money and guns, we conspired with their political and ideological enemy the USA, we did all that and THEY NEVER INVADED OR ATTACKED US…So much for FRIENDS, as the saying goes, who needs enemies with friends like this!

We are in very deep shit here, do not for a moment think that by bombing civilians any thing will be acheived regardless of what the reason or logic may be. The solution must be poltical, not military, because it was the wrong policies that got us here. But more urgently we need to get our economic act together and end corruption that is draining the country’s wealth because without economic stability we will always be open to blackmail and extortion, and in that regard its needless to say that our latest choice for sadre-mamlikat does not bode well for us.

I also join you in protesting against The US attacks on our soil, but I assure you it will achieve nothing.Specially in this situation where USA is using Indian commandos,RAW along with CIA and half the Mujahideen whom the two have bought to wreck havoc in Pakistan.

And when Pervaiz Musharaaf confronted the Americans and Afghans with the evidence -even giving them specific terrorist targets within Afghanistan to strike;they ignored the information. When ISI then took some very brilliant counter measures within Afghanistan -they decided Musharaaf’s time was up.
not that I love Musharaaf ,God knows he has enough crimes to answer for!But we got rid of him without getting CJ Iftikhar restored-and just when the Americans wanted it!!The sleezy beaurecracy ,paid press, and greedy politicians-and the ignorant, uneducated and dumb dumb public have always been our greatest enemy.

So we now have Zardari having his first press conference as President along with that arch American puppet Karzai sitting right in our own President’s house that these strikes are justified.I wonder who asked Zardari to invite Karzai?

And why is Zardari going to China? If not to throw us off the scent? In fact if you remember Pervaiz Musharaaf also went rushing to China to invite them to build Gwadar Port -and once they had done so played the American game by preventing Chinese PM from performing it’s opening ceremony ;handing it’s operation to a Singapore company ;and ensuring it never becomes operational.

The only hope is Americans keep on doing what they are -and end up generating enough hate and rage so that we become a united yankee hating nation like the Vietnamese! These American trained and financed Islamist Jehadis just wount do.

And we need to get back to our real friends China.

I’m glad at least one blogger thinks that way. The rest of the Pakistani blogosphere is primarily jamaat-e-islami(or PML-N, or lately Imran Khan) oriented and works in a way somewhat similar to the Urdu print media.
Geo TV is the primary inspiration – and looking at your blog I can see you’re smart enough to know Nawaz Sharif is made into a hero the same way Hritik Roshan is, i.e. simulating public opinion, so nobody will disagree lest they’re left out.
Bloggers.pk has been throwing out like 200 posts a day, mostly bashing the US and Zardari – it’s a sign of saturation and I expect to see some fragmentation and the emergence of an alternative group of bloggers.
You’re a blogger, why don’t you take the initiative?

    KarimG,
I’m sorry if I am repeating myself but you did not respond to my argument: Islamists from among us were eying Afghanistan even before the soviet invasion, and I told you Gulbadin Hekmatyar’s Hizb-e-Islami was formed in Pakistan in 1975 – three years before the Soviet troops entered Afghanistan. We aided an Islamic uprising in Afghanistan against Daoud Khan the same year. Now you can either read your history – including the years before Geo TV began to air – and decide to grow up, or continue to blame America.
You are too much rhetorc and too little logic. I’m sorry. There’s nothing wrong with that, only it leaves little room for argument.

Surely, there are many opportunists and carpetbaggers in ALL sectors and institutions in Pakistan. Surely, there are some for whom it becomes “halal” even if the acts of “haram” are performed by one from their own camp or faction.

Zalmay Khalilzad, the US ambassador to the Security Council instructed Zardari to invite his protégé Hamid Karzai. This dude has been very busy with the “Operation Pinki Panthers” that also led to the removal of Mush. Now we have the lobotomized clone of Karzai in Zardari implanted in Pakistan!

Okay Paagal Insaan, you are way out there and your assumptions concerning how people’s opinions are formed are based on…..Mush CNN BBC read CIA inspired “facts”.

I don’t live in Piyara Vatan for close to 30 years so do not have access to GEO.
Pakistani armed forces and any branch of if were not even taking a leak without permission of their masters in Washington so Hekmatyar’s forming of a party was advance preparation because since the removal of Zaher Shah the left inspired revolutionary forces like Khalq and Parcham were already making inroads in the Afghan society and academia.
Read Brenziski’s statements concerning his proud declarations on how he and Carter created conditions to draw in Soviet Union into Afghanistan and hand them their “Vietnam”.
I have nothing good to say for Islamists, Nawaz Sharif and generally save Imran Khan (his political views I know only from some interviews I have seen) who appears to have some sanity in him, the rest need to to be…well to put it gently set aside. Of course none of the players on the political scene today are clean, patriotic and honourable, none, Zardari least of all. Now, under the circumstances where we are, we have to start from some where. The question is do you start from a known bandit like AZ or a closet bandit like NS, that’s a 62 thou question. I really don’t know the answer to the question, AWAM seem to prefer AZ, he smells trouble to me!
As for the planes hitting the buildings, Mr. Paagal Insaan, the jury on it is still out there, look up the polls about what New Yorkers think about it, look up the opinions of experts on demolitions, ex-president of Italy and many European ministers of previous governments and just mountain of evidence out there!!!
19 bozos about most of whom the opinion of their instructors’ was that they could never finish the flying courses, flew commercials aircrafts in a manner that most of the fighter jet pilots with hundreds of hours of flying experience claim that they could have never flown that way!!! And what has happened since, subversion of freedoms, almost the police state like mentality, invasions and threats against many countries, millions dead and many many other stuff…I wonder! Paagal Insaan,
What does ” Gulbadin Hekmatyar’s Hizb-e-Islami formed in Pakistan in 1975 – three years before the Soviet troops entered Afghanistan”…have to do with the present state?

Are you saying The Russians should not have been driven out using the Islamists? Even if you are, blame Clinton and Regan, the CIA and your pals the US for this.

Not only did they fund and arm them in Afghanistan; In Yugoslavia too, USA engineered a civil war between the various ethnic groups. The US supported and funded Muslim forces in Bosnia in the early 1990s, under the leadership of the CIA-trained Afghan Mujahideen(The Islamist Jehadis initially raised for the war against the Soviet Union from 1979-1989). In Bosnia, the Mujahideen were accompanied by US Special Forces, and Bill Clinton personally approved of collaboration with several Islamic fundamentalist organisations including Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda.

In Kosovo, years later, Mujahideen mercenaries from the Middle East and Central Asia were recruited to fight in the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in 1998-99, largely supporting NATO’s war effort. Also a military commander of Usama bin Laden, was leading an elite KLA unit during the Kosovo conflict.

It is a portion of the same Islamists CIA and RAW are now using to sow disruption within Pakistan .Many of them are now also being funded by USSR and Iran etc to get revengue from the Americans.I want ISI and China to also join the later and bring USA to it’s knees -as USA has placed our enemies India in Afghanistan to play this dirty game…Certainly USA can’t be our ally.

Pakistan’s military chief on Wednesday lashed out at the United States over cross-border raids by American troops from Afghanistan and said his country’s sovereignty will be defended “at all cost.”

“In an unusually strong public statement, Gen. the sheer lack of self reflection, or self awareness is the probable cause of our current malaise. but the definite cause is the fact that we are so myopic.

this much commented upon discussion was initially fired by a request to consider our own selves before we rush to smear the US. because its intellectually lazy to blame the imperialist, the country that everyone in the world loves to hate.

because we have a war going on in our own land, and there are innocent pakistanis being killed by other pakistanis that no one seems to raise a hue and cry about. case in point, kohat and dir. why aren’t we up in arms over those attacks? i don’t understand it.

on top of that, we are rushing to idolize kiyani’s bravery and idealism. why? if you are against pakistanis being killed, then are you unaware that he has been orchestrating the bajaur offensive that has led to the greatest internal displacement in the nation’s history?

and if you are against the pak army as well, then do you want baitullah and his cohorts to establish their fascist designs on the nation? because they have said so as much…

i don’t mind being called a US slave, because i know who i am in my mind. but i would like to use this forum to remind all of us that perhaps we need to wake up and realise that there is a f***ed up reality inhabiting our country.

of course the US is to blame, but its not alone. much like the mushie impeachment, if we focus on the battling just the larger evil, we allow other despicable people to hijack our country while we remain distracted. please check out the recent inhabitant of the aiwan-e-sadr to make up your mind.

but of course, all this is pretty much a waste of space. the majority has decided that any hint of stepping back from blaming the US 100% is a sign of capitulation.

but i can take solace from the life of Manto – back in the day he was thrown out of the progressive writers movement because his political views were not aligned with them. today, we know who the artist was, and where the progressives progressed.

Look I will not dare to challange the sincerity of your opinions and I do partially agree with you that ultimately we need to take responsibility for what happens to us BUT in the past 60 years or so the European countries and US have been responsible for unparalleld devastations in the poor countries. Their interventions from Congo to Argentina, from Iran to Indonesia have caused untold misery and millions of deaths. The saga of Afghanistan and Pakistan was a manufactured conflict that has yet to come to an end and end is no where in sight. We must recognize clearly what we face as far as US designs and policies in the region. The agents of these foreign powers are deeply rooted in the ruling elite, the academia and business. It will not be easy to convince them to change their ways but without recognizing their existance we stand no chance. That’s my final word on this subject.

What war US agains USSR you refere too?? go ahead and take your fact from ccn and bbc as most of the ignorant americans/and people living in america do, As i know USSR took controll of afganistan, achieved task and was forced to leave after, Russian could stay in AFG but it was not necessary and the losses would be far more.
This was far more difficult for USSR that they though about it,it was recognized by the army, and USSR suffer some losses, But they decided to stop the attack only after achieved task.
Dont even compare to this small stupid guerrilla war that americans + many other countries from NATO seem to believe they are in controll over.

American experts in loosing wars even go beyond comprehention sometimes.
But to start a war not even making secure the way of suppply to their own soildiers its one good example, couse now Russia denye supply throug russian territory, Thats a childish stupid misstake of the american gouverment. Clearly US have a tradition of loosing wars every time, but sometimes its just pathethic.

USSR and Russian specifically on the other hand have a tradition of war that goes beyond every american imagination, Wining wars hundreds of years before even America was even discovered. For the European freedom we should thanx the russians minimum twice.

I think americans will shit in pants if russian army decides to take over. And It goes quicly like i did in georgia. Dont compare warriors with princessas.

/excuse me my spells im speaking in your language and i can speak in 7 diffrent laguages, now can you speak my language??

    🙂

Mmhhhmm, I'm sure the Russians are having a ball with the Chechnyans right now. You guys are the laughingstock of the West and have been for over a decade now.

You can't even hold your own nation together, and the country is ruled by either mafioso or Putin. America still mourns the day Gen. Patton was murdered, if he was still alive there would've been Stalin's head on the Kremlin and 70 years of peace. Unlike the Nazi's, the US and Canadian forces are used to harsh winters and the only thing a Russian is good at is drinking and dying.

Enjoy your Khrushchev-puppet Putin. All he does is pretend the USSR is still something we all fear lurks under our bed at night, when it can't even fight the Ukraine and has to resort to picking on Georgia.
