Q. Change of heart?
A. The subject change of heart is a big subject but to-day we will be talking how peoples life changes in the practical life due to different circumstances causing change of heart...
Q. Change of heart in politics?
A. Change of is very common in Pakistani Politics. In an article, I discussed about greatness of MUSLIM LEAGUE and then its destruction by its political leaders. That all happened due to their change of heart & due to their ability to act lotta (a term used for opportunist). There is no true Muslim league left.

Q Change of heart of media?
A. Media is very strong but their books and articles published shows how their view points change with the change of governments. That is another example of change of heart with the time.

Q Change of heart due to change of map of the world?
A. the Indus Valley civilization, (5,000 years old) spread over much of what is presently Pakistan. During the second millennium B.C., bits and pieces of this culture fused with the migrating Indo-Aryan peoples. The area underwent successive invasions in subsequent centuries from the Persians, Greeks, Scythians, Arabs (who brought Islam), Afghans, and Turks. See how the heart has to accept realities. Their. is no Mughal empire or British Empire, Pakistan is Pakistan, Bangladesh is Bangladesh. Taliban, Bin Laden are all products of USA, PAKISTAN, and SAUDI ARABIA They fought to-gather for the freedom of Afghanistan against USSR. With that Afghanistan got freedom, USSR was broken down; America left Afghanistan leaving all heavy arms in the hand of Afghani war lords, drug gangsters. Pakistan kept dreaming of Islamic crescent and tried to intermingle with the politics of Afghani religious and political leaders. Pakistani Rupee was common currency in Afghanistan .Finally Mullah Umer of Taliban came in power and able to get financial aid from USA.
After 9/11 tragedy, every thing changed, USA invaded Afghanistan overthrowing Taliban government. They run for thir life came to friendly Pakistan but under the circumstances Pakistan has to joint the world &has to make sharp U turn against Mullah Umer’s government for its own security .Whole world became against Taliban and Bin Laden.
This is an example of change of heart.

Now those militias who were against USSR are getting aid from INDIA, USSR .They are getting all arms, missile, klashakoff, intelligence from these two countries otherwise they wouldn’t be able to fight against USA s might for 8 years

A US Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) was established in Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi. A Military Assistance Programme (MAP) was started. Pakistan army was divided into MAP and Non-MAP units depending on their role. MAP units were oriented towards safeguarding US interests and non-MAP units along Indian border.

The fact that US was following her national interest while mediocre Pakistani military leadership were more in wishful thinking rather than planning for safeguarding their national interest. There was nothing secret about US policy. In several public statements and documents, US objectives have been clearly stated, if Pakistani generals could not see them, this was their own folly. The general principles of these security agreements were that United States will enter a security agreement when:

- There is a genuine threat to US interests.

- The mutual security pact will significantly contribute to preserve these interests.

- The final judgment of US troop commitment will be made by elected representatives.

- Allies will contribute their fair share in terms of personnel, weapons, resources and government support.

In July 1959, Pakistan agreed for establishment of US base near Peshawar to be operated by US officials. General Khalid M. Arif while commenting on U-2 incident (U-2 was a US spy plane operating from Badaber base near Peshawar. It was shot down by Soviet SA-2 missile and its pilot Gary Powers was captured. The incident severely compromised Pakistan security and brought the Soviet ire on Pakistan. Soviets paid back Pakistan within a decade during East Pakistan crisis) states that, ‘Pakistan felt deceived because the US had kept her in the dark about such clandestine spy operations launched from Pakistan’s territory’.Statements like these from such highly placed officers don’t speak well for Pakistan. good suggestion....i think the blackwater is one of the biggest threat to pakistan...and pakistani security officials are playing a double game on one side they allow them to work in pakistan for the promise of money from american govt and on the other hand they are feeding the pakistani press about the activities of blackwater.

I think the discussion is veering off in wrong direction. We are here to discuss activities of Blackwater and steps needed to counter it. Well the very basic thing that can be done is to make your families, colleagues etc aware of this mercenary force. Because media wont help us in this regard. Looks like as if there is complete media blackout. Atleast it is not giving any news about this menace.

Billions of American taxpayer dollars and weapons of every imaginable type flowed through the ISI into mujahedeen hands--while the U.S. government looked the other way as Zia built Pakistan's nuclear capacity, trained Islamic militants and inculcated radical Islam into the barracks and the schools. Rogue terrorist armies were born and no one paid attention.

In 1985, under an absolutist formula for controlling press dissension, Zia tried to patch together political legitimacy at home under farcical nonparty elections, and by handpicking his parliament and prime minister. An August 1988 plane crash that killed Zia left a power vacuum filled by out-of-control intelligence outfits. The birth of America's present-day nemeses, the Taliban and al Qaeda, were--in the eyes of the all-powerful Islamist generals--the ISI's most important contributions to Pakistani national security after the bomb.

Another intelligence disaster now looms. Its similarities to the Zia days are remarkable. Gen. Musharraf, the military dictator of the day, is the new darling of the West fighting the new enemy in Afghanistan. Billions of American taxpayer dollars are again set to flow. A beautiful facade has been crafted for external consumption, on everything from press freedoms and elections to a corruption-free economy and an Islamist-free state. The reality is harshly different.
