MPA Shumaila Rana caught red-handed in Credit Card Fraud
An MPA Shumaila Rana who has been a member of the Punjab Assembly on a chosen reserved seat for women has recently been caught red handed using a stolen credit card and making two separate purchases to the tune of Rs. 80,000 [~$1000]. The owner of the credit card Zaira Malik when she reported them stolen the credit card company informed her that purchases had already been made in a nearby Jewelry store and a mens store. When Zaira went to the shops they had CCTV camera showing the MPA making these purchases.
Zaira Malik attended classes at a health centre in Lahore after placing her bag in a room at the club the MPA Shumaila Rana left the class early and as Zaira picked up her bag, she found her two credit cards — one of UBL and other Bank Al-Falah — missing from the bag. She immediately called the credit card helpline of the two banks to inform that her cards were misplaced and block both the cards. But the officials at help centers of both banks told Zaira that someone had swiped the cards for Rs80,000 at two separate shops, one of them a jewelery shop, she panicked and visited the shops. The shop owner showed the CCTV footage to the card owner in which it was proved that Shumaila Rana had swiped the credit cards to purchase jewelery and clothes.
The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has already directed police authorities to take legal action against MPA Shumaila Rana by registering the larceny case against her for stealing credit cards.
It is shocking that a respectable parliamentarian is involved in such a crime and we as citizens of Pakistan hope that justice is served. Ff found guilty, she will lose her seat, as no convicted can become a parliamentarian, and stands disqualified as conviction as per the Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
The Narion; The first timer to the Punjab Assembly Shumaila Rana, reportedly found guilty of stealing credit card from another female’s bag, and indulging in ‘illegal’ shopping, is member of the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Auqaf. Moreover, she is also member of Chief Minister’s Coordination Committee for the Internally-Displaced People, which is an offshoot of Punjab Chief Minister’s Fund for the IDPs of NWFP. Unmarried Shumaila Rana is daughter of Hidayat Ali, and she climbed the ladder of becoming an MPA by virtue of her mother Anjum Ara’s services to the party, as the latter has been worker of the party for about two decades. Anjum Rana, a retired schoolteacher of a private institute, was not a graduate, and after her successful canvassing for her daughter, a reserved seat was given to Shumaila Rana, who is said to be in her mid-20s. She is the first MPA from this family, and has nothing tangible to her credit for which she should have been given the slot.

What about Mr.Zardari and lots of others? He earned million $$$ after he become

Well! Shumaila Rana cause she was found red handed and also Zaira Malik seems to be well connected. Zardari's victims are poor people of Pakistan who have no connection whatsoever. The only thing they can do is to bring change either through assembly or something like French or Russian revolution, a bloody revolution I mean.
Shumaila Rana (BITCH) an EXPERIENCED CHOR but amazingly CAUGHT RED HANDED. I think she needs MORE TRAINING to steal.

I thought that she is not a thief but she may be lose character lady. She may be an illegal relationship with a man, who gave the said credit card to her. When Chief Minister khew that she is a lose character lady when he expelled her out from the party, which is a good decision.
Now she is out from the party and as well as out from the thieft case becose she will prove that she was a girl friend of the owner's husband of credit card.
This type of women/men must be out not only from the Politics but also from the Bureaucracy.

This is the image of our politicians and they are claimning their loyalty with Pakistan while addressing the peoples that they will do for Pakistan and actual face is out. We Pakistani must take care during elections, we must see their character,not party or their standard.

Quaid-e-Azam thought he had made Pakistan but what he didn't know that it was mostly inhabited by NaPakistanis. Whom over the years have turned the country from being Pakistan to NaPakistan. Almost every man and woman in "NaPakistan" is a thief, cheat and a liar. I still have yet to meet a single honest person with a pure heart in this land of the supposedly pure. There are honest people in this country will a lot of you say. But how would you know that? The chances are most of you and your parents are beyond any doubt involved in corruption as well. May you be living in Pakistan or abroad. You are mostly ALL corrupt. I can honestly say that without blinking an eye on judgement day as well infront of ALLAH and stand by it.

I think a lot of time is passed and she could not bring any solid proof in her favor. Probably she is trying to convince the leadership that if they can forgive chaudhary abdul ghafoor and munawar gil with more serious crimes then why can't she? just because she does not have as strong backening as them?. I think she should give counter proof of her innocence otherwise she should resign silently.

It is very sad. The PML N govt has not taken a stand that clearly shows that they have distanced themselves from this woman. They are providing her support from behind the scene and now she has come up with stories that the card was given to her by her boyfriend who is the complainants husband, this argument only PML N can accept and their sympathetic judges, who have given her bail only to diffuse the situation and put pressure on the complainant to tone down the attack.
If the nation is blind and cannot see the lavish housing of the Sharifs and the kingly life-style of their leader/ruler/leader of the gang of thugs, then such things are not surprising.
Why is that all the corrupt are from Punjab and Baluchistan while it is much less in sindh and least in the MQM. Relatively speaking. I have found that ppl of the northern punjab and areas adjoining Kashmir are very corrupt matched only by their brothers in Baluchistan.
I just went through the comments, a few of which are truly hilarious. First, this woman is obviously trying to defuse the situation by concocting wierd tales. If she is inncocent then she has nothing to fear; she just needs an alibi, a strong one in which she can refute being present at the jewellery store at the stated and recorded time of the actual purchases. Second, the business establishments should have very firm and strict policies of transacting business with first time customers, and, they should have policies in place to protect their future transactions as well. Just because a prospective client or customer is a government representative, she/he doesn't merit special services or favours. We need to draw our attention to the wrong that has been committed and treat it under the criminal code. If the woman is found guilty, she deserves punishment under law. And, if she escapes from her crime, then, as many of you have commented above, she'll just join the list of thugs who are busy looting and pillaging and raping our country.

Shumaila Rana is daughter of Hidayat Ali, she was accused of theft of credit cards but here I am unvailing something nobody knows. Anjum Rana mother of shumaila rana has an office in Nadiarabad Badian road Lahore, the so called office is actually is an illagally occupied land of a labourar who once resides thier. Anjum Rana kicked out that innocent labourar and his fanily from his house and occupied that house which now is her office. The innocent labourar was forced be Anjum Rana not to raise his voice uless he will have to pay for it. 2nd issue is that Nawaz Sharif fund which is given every month to deserving people she does not worthly doing that. When benazir income support started she took Rs100/- for each form filling and filled her pockets illegally.No one took notice of that, even now she is eating up the money for deserving people given by PML-N every month.

Someone who can steal a credit card from a fellow’s very personal handbag could also have stolen from everywhere she had access to. Therefore, I strongly appeal to the authorities that her matters with IDP’s fund and other stuff like that be investigated in detail. I also want to appeal to others on this forum to support and promote this appeal and above all support the electronic media for its good work.
I think PML N need to develop some kind of disciplanry policy for their parlimentarians. every day some one from their party come with scandal.

I don't buy that the CM has taken any step. He said that she is respected women for him but the case would be taken by the authorities. Why she is not arrested yet ? Why is the MNA who rapped the women is not taken into custody ? Why that MNA who had his nephew sitting in the exam is not arrested yet ? The PML-N is simply group of Qabza Group and they simply recruit people who can steal things from others or recruit women who can sleep with them. I think the so called chief justice needs to take action on all these MNAs and MPAs and teach them a lesson.
