This is totally wrong thing and such a group of peoples are always find doing bidat.Bidat is a great sin. According to the hadith, bidat is mardood (no-good/ useless) it is gumrahi (deceiving) sharrul umoor (evil order); it is the means of the curse of Allah, and Rasul (S), and the Angels and people. One who honors a bidati (person doing bidat) is cursed.

May Allah (swt) give all of us wisdom and keep all muslim ummah save from bidat and deceiving.(ameen)

By starting this debate you are stepping on tails of many so called police men of Islam. Who are not ready to discuss ‘wrongs’.

Let me share my personal experience here:

The place I am residing is fast developing Muslim country,(not in Pakistan and I can not mention the name) any blogger can go prison for period without trial for years. Few days back, a blogger went to prison without charge for brining up the story of a high government official being involvement in a murder and blowing body with explosive of his girl friend.

A BADDO (ARAB) can stand up and Ask Umar (RA) from where he got the second sheet of cloth for his dress, while every one else gets one form baitulmal …..This was Islam, open for questioning, ensuring accountability, equality and freedom to debate.

Not only our Muslim governments has lost that, but as individuals also have become above that rule which is basis of Islam. Today we take out gun, if questioned.

The place I am residing is the most expensive housing in this country, a house costs over a million $, just outside the housing is a mosque. Most of the residents are Muslim and few non Mulsim. The IMAM in mosque pulled a cable from mosque in to housing area and right beside my house put 4 huge powerfull loudespeakers.

For purpose of Azan, it is alright, but unfortunately, he would wake up at 4 AM, put a cassette in Mosques loud speaker and open volume at full. This will go on till prayer. Same in evening, he will start his speach at 5PM and continue untill 10 PM in night.

The sound is so loud that we can not even take phone calls in side our house, can not sleep or even talk even after closing our windows. Although everyone have to work here from morning to evening and needs some rest or sleep in night, IMAM dont care!

When we told the IMAM that this was disturbing our work, sleep and rest……..the same evening he made a speach calling each of us ‘KAFIR’ by name….we were only able to get these speakers removed by requesting ‘town council’, which acted with reluctance, as they are also scared of ‘mad mullah’.

My neighbours include IG Police, State Secratery and Deputy Chief Minister of state….but all are powerless before a ‘Mullah’, although they can send a blogger to jail, sending a ‘Mullah’ toprison with bring a countrywide political storm.

Just imagine what will happen to this place in comming times and what ‘policmen’ of Islam are doing to it for personal gains.

Well, by posting it online you did the totally right thing. This face of so-called preachers should necessarily be shown. BTW, the man looks quite heavy :D

Dr Awab, While I admire your alarmist reaction to this ceremony, I am surprised to see the difference in your devotion at ’seeking the truth’ via your blog or just simply bringing up controversies for an ‘open discussion’ and page hits.

I think I have said enough, now you be the judge of how much you really want to see things change into a more purist version of Islam that was preached 1400 years ago.

This was funny mostly. Just as it’s great fun watching Qadri’s shows where they will entertain all variety of vocal variations, mimmicing every musical instrument without actually playing one. This stretch of imagination - I mean vocal chords - is quite startling. It’s an ingenious way to ’stay within the limitations imposed by Islam’.

Indeed, nothing of this sort is preached in true spirit of Islam. Respect is one thing, idolatory another. I wonder what good did it do to the famous Naat Khawan apart from earnest respect! A simple award ceremony to acknowledge his contributions.

I think this Qadri and QTV are doing Islam a disservice by projecting a distorted version of Islam, a version which quentissentially revolves around shallow and hollw rituals and is deviod of the true spirit of Islam. Love for Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is an essnetial part of Islam but it reuires one to follow the teachings of Prophet (SAW) faithfully, not to engage in these rituals. And weihging in gold of all the things? Unfortunatley, they have reduced Naat Khawani to a level of a public spectacle, it was an act of expression of one’s devotion and love for the Prophet, a very personal expression, not to be made a public spectacle like this. Once i went through site and beliefs of same sect & Party Mulana Awais Raza Qadri belongs to and was wondered his own leaders declared it wrong to take “ujrat” on reciting Naats. I was deperate to learn he is going against the beleifs of his own leaders and very said favourite personality.

barelvism is a twisted combination of Shia Belief and hindu culture belief. This sect has nothing original and always copied things from others.

Being a member of barelvi community I have seen like Koonday(Shia thing),bowing on shrines(Hindu thing), partying in name of Milad and what not. There is also video of DJ Qadri of same incident. Qadri and Co were banned in Saudia after violating laws by playing Jhankar beats at Masjidul Haram and at Arafat.

This is an easy way to earn more with less brain. Sing Naats on indian compositions :P , get alot of money and be happy :)

Naats are recited, not sung. Please correct this Doc. Awab. If naats are being sung, wouldn’t that be plain singing?

They have started a channel recently called the madni channel…where pyare pyare aur meethay islamic bhai…can be shown doing their various jobs of the day….whatever…weight a man in gold while the countries poor die with the yoke of inflation on their heads…some saadgi..

The way DJ qadri and his fellows say naats, it comes under category of “Singing”. Awab is not wrong at all. DJ Qadri and Co,Najam Shiraz sing naats with jhankar beats. This is not how Naat and Hamd r said but then Barelvis want to promote “moderate” version so “Sab chalta hay”.

Another fact of barelvis that they just busy in copying stuff from other religions and culture. They have nothing original. At one side Barelvis cursed Tableeghi Jamat while on other hand they have their own version of Tableeghiat in form of “Dawat-e-Islami” and their “Raiwind” is in Multan. Offcourse we all know about their “Sahra-e-Madina”. This copy cat cult also have extremist wing in form of Hari Pagri(Totay),Brown Turban etc but so called barelvi liberals cunningly and ignorantly don’t dare to discuss filth within their own community.

Mualana Owais Qadri has always been a controversial person. But no one, not even Salafi / Wahabis deny his absolute control over his beautiful voice. If the above mentioned ceremony was done for Zakat / Khairat, I think there is no issue with it. People who can afford it should do it to help fellow Muslims. But if it was done as a show off, which I don’t think so, it is in bad taste.

Now think about it for a moment. This chubby guy is getting weighed in gold (whatever that means) he seemed gleeful. For singing/reciting/screaming about Mohammad SAW, who, as we all know except this fat guy and his friends, hardly ever ate full meal, slept on floors without a pillow. Refused comfort and leadership when offered in exchange of giving up preaching Islam.
How low we muslims are going to fall? I know I am just echoing here. It is so frustrating to witness how they are raping our country right in front of our eyes while laughing at us.

Repute is very important to lead the nation at right track. Mulana having a very good reputation but I don’t know what to comment on these pictures may be fake. Mulana should himself give the clarifications, because million of people have a great regard about him. So, whatever the situation is Mulana should give the complete clarification on this act in line of Islam.

Kashif how you can justify this thing even if the gold is going in charity.
SAHABA-E-KARAM gave up all their assets for charity, a number of examples are there (i am not going into details of those) but you can not quote any such scene.
Actually this discussion is not for the criticism on Naat but the act these guys have done.
