Bilal Musharraf Cashing in…
For what its worth, Bilal Musharraf the Vice President of ePlanet Ventures and the son of General (r) Pervaiz Musharraf, is seen negotiating a deal with Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Companies. It is just a normal business deal but the question that remains is What does the Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia have to do in all this?
Can we speculate that these are the last minute favors being cashed in by Pervaiz Musharraf before he is truly pushed out of office and into the awaiting millions of dollars of accumulated wealth and business ventures which he has strategically located outside Pakistan in the last nine years of his rule.

Well, I don’t mind Pakistani Ambassador being with Bilal MUSH, but I hope every other Pakistani citizen living abroad (and Pak Businessman) would get a similar treatment by Paki Ambassador.
I hope MUSH would not write a *will* where Bilal would be the PRESIDENT OF PAKISTAN after the death of MUSH as is practiced in OUR DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY.
Awab Sahib, Bilal is an actuarian and you can’t find more than 10 of them in all Pakistan. He has gone to best schools of world and he is definitely a talented person. Some times you are just bound to follow protocol. And I hope that you know it is a big sin in Islam to speculate in public about any one w/o having any proofs. You should have emailed Bilal first about this incident before writing it here and with my experience with him, I am sure he would have replied you.
Follwing is an excerpt from one of his email that he sent on Nov 11th, 2007 on Stanford university mailing list for Pakistani students. From this, you would get an idea of social pressure on these high profile persons. It’s very easy to speculate and accuse any one w/o putting yourself in other’s shoes.
“The message below has triggered some vivid memories that I feel compelled to share. I have honestly been humbled and inspired by the quality of discourse taking place on this forum and it has given me hope that zara num ho to. Below is a sequence of incidents that left me stunned and bewildered for quite a while.
To make up for the eleven years that I had pigeon-holed myself in the actuarial profession in Boston , I felt the strong desire professionally to shake things up a little just before business school started. As soon as I got word of admission I immediately turned in my resignation at Watson Wyatt and left to do an internship in the UAE. I spent four months in 2005 working for the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). It was a valuable experience, and what I am about to share has nothing to do with ADIA.
1. First incident
I found a wad of cash that was slipped into the box of a collapsible putter sent by a member of the Royal Family. I tried to return it, but to no avail. All sorts of questions ran through my mind. Are they testing me? Is this normal here? Even if it is, is this being generous or down right condescending? I ended up donating the sum to LUMS-SSE. Ofcourse I had to deal with the awkwardness of taking a wad of cash to the bank to get a money order made for LUMS.
2. Second incident
I received a phone call at work from the Habib Bank manager in Abu Dhabi telling me that there was an issue. When I asked what it was, he proceeded to tell me how my bank account was set up strictly as a direct deposit with my employer (ADIA), and I would need to change its type to absorb the wire transfer that was coming. I couldnt believe my ears when he told me the details. I had received an attempted wire transfer of $1M!! I felt totally ill-equipped to handle the situation. I felt that even if I directed it towards philanthropy, the amount was so large that I would still feel obliged. To avoid the issue snowballing out of control, I ended up asking my father to intervene and have a chat with the Sheikh and explain to him why I could not accept it. It was no use explaining why it was inappropriate to send the money in the first place. I also had to deal with the incredibly awkward task of going to Habib Bank, and having to explain to the bank manager that I really did not want the money, with the manager trying to assess whether I really want to accept the money and am looking for a more discrete way of doing so.
3. Third incident
My wife and I received watches as gifts from the Royal family that I did not know what to do with. We proceeded to sell the watches and put the proceeds directly into a trust that we named E.R.A. (Education, Research, and the Arts). Rs 20lac went to Cadet College Hasan Abdal (my highschool). We have stuck to the mandate that we had based the trust on.
The experience in UAE made me realize the challenge that our institutional evolution faces.
Pakistan has grave issues no doubt but whenever we decide to go back, and I hope we all do I hope we leave illusions of grandeur behind and seriously prepare ourselves for the noble but mundane task of nation building. As the Urdu adage goes, “Aasmaan say gira khajoor mein atkaa. Thats what UAE felt like, pun intended.”
History is repeating in Pakistan’s books. These geenrals are basically million dollar men, a huge burden and symbol of shame for whole nation. .First gen ayub had presented billiond dollar industry to his next genration, then zia transferred millin dollar assets to his dumb sons and same amount of money laundering was seen by his second man gen akthar’s who transferred dollar funds to his two notorious sons and now the only son of mussarf is handling the billion dollars deals under US umbrella. Is there any place in our homeland where these generals ( all had come from medicore background)are accountable for billion dollar transactions to their duffer generation.
Not just that, all over Karachi there are various spots which Bilal Musharraf has stakes in, or so the word goes. The one I heard most about was this huge office building being built right on Clifton beach…not far from where China Town restaurant, etc are….any info on that?
I think someone in the press should compile a complete list with citations…
Oh, here comes the sympathy police….even after the father puts the judiciary in jail and holds the entire country hostage. WAKE UP!!!! Everyone in Pakistan knows what the Musharraf family hoardings are!! Even if he was a star at his job, just how much did he make to be able to invest in so many huge projects?
To the person who posted the incidents about the gifts from the “royal” (yeah, royal my arse): you’re just discrediting him even further. The oil-barons are filthy rich, but they are not stupid! Rich people don’t get rich by writing a lot of checks! These bread-crumbs he threw at desperate Bilal are probably a drop in the bucket compared to what he got done.
Look around you, your government is auctioning off things like entire clifton beachfront to these “royals.”
If he really is that damn ethical, he should report it to the press…..I mean, he’s probably not the only one being offered cash to sell his country.
“We proceeded to sell the watches and put the proceeds directly into a trust that we named E.R.A. (Education, Research, and the Arts). Rs 20lac went to Cadet College Hasan Abdal (my highschool). We have stuck to the mandate that we had based the trust on.”
As an Abdalian, I am ashamed that my school has produced people like Bilal Musharraf who despite their fancy qualifications and all can’t tell right from wrong. His defence of his father has been hopeless and illogical. After all, defending the indefensible is not an easy task - even for the son of a dictator.
I doubt it but I hope CCH turned away these “donations” made by the dictator’s progeny.
Bilal’s father in law got millions of $ in kick backs from his “consultancy services” from Husnain construction compny and in return Husnain group got the contract for Motorway project and a dosen of “sick units”.
Same father in law of Bilal got Karachi elevated train project for US $ 900 million for government funds while same project was offered by China on turnkey basis with 25 years soft loan in US$ 500 Millions.
Shaukat Aziz has also opened a “Investment Consultancy Service” in UAE and Sheikh Talal will definately invest in Bilal’s proposed project as he is one of the CIA puppets and will happy to provide cover for Billal and his fathers illgotten gains from Pakistani tax payers blood.
Just imagine that Pak Arab Fertalisers company was “auctioned” in lesser amount then its stocks in warehouses. Bahria town has offered twice the money then “auction price” only for vacant land around factory.
Where would these all kick backs end up?
If someone thinks that general’s dictatorship is for sake of country and not for money then he would have given highest award to Chief Justice for blocking Pakistan Steel’s sale rather then throughing him in prison.
We are a desperate nation which is always in search of fake heroe’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To Nazia…,
I am not a fan or supporter of MUSH or his son but what do you mean by …( all had come from medicore background)
Can you please elaborate this? what did you mean? Do you want to indicate that their parents were clerks? or janitors? (Just like ABIDA Hussain said?) and this disqualifies them of running things?
it amazing to see how fortunate the sons of faujis are.. they get into the universities irrespective of their talents because big universities are OWNED by their fathers :p also that the schools and colleges in which they are educated usually top the educational boards … and that by some distance and with some persistence
to saeen
medicore means common or ordinary .Before 70 s see the life styles of generals and now compare it with living standard of todays major to brigadeer and u would see the clear differnce what I am saying. Now tell me how gen ayub had transferred billion dollar running industry to his uneducated and problem child.Did he come from rich family.then come to zia and abdul rehman. How these 22 grade officers’ worthless and idle sons are rolling in multi million business projects.Do they belong the 22 rich families of Pakistan. Now Mussarf claimed to be son of working class, and his only son is running billion dollar projects in USA and uae.Did his father or mother(worked in foriegn ministry) had sold Pakistan’s secret to other countries for earning billion dollar game for their generation. In the end you can only say that these are really genieuss of Pakistan who made their own country among the poorest nation of world but making rich of their next generations.
poor bilal say what all u want to say but the truth lies with allah at least he is living a less pretigious live than that sob bilawar who is studting in(in which we people can only dream of) oxford i challange him to even pass a sat test.he was admitted there becoz of his contacts we dont critise him but we do critise bilal who for god shake is investing in pakistan.
if bilwar is so patriotic he should come here and study and learn urdu at least.
son of generals are living life of kings?
why do u make up these kind of things who told u this stuff r u barinwashed or something . “i can give examples with name and ranks of generals who were so down to the earth and there children were even more nice.”
they dont have even a penny in there pockets which belongs to courrption but give me an example of a politican that is not coroupt
Bravo for brightening up my Friday a true media sensation.
Maybe eplanet were in Riyadh to solicit Prince Talal’s appetite for their future fund. Both Asad and Bilal share Pakistani heritage hence this could be the reason as to why the Pak ambassador was there - this is usual in the BIG WIDE WORLD!!!
The author has too much time on his/her hand. The story was laced with “opinion” and evolved into a conspiracy theory. To the questions that highlighted:
1. DUHH - Pakistani ambassadors often accompany Pakistani businessmen (be it ex-pats) in high level meetings.
2. Billion - what billion. This is a serious allegation against “Musharraf Corporation” (the word “Corporation - 10/10 for FOX-type-rhetoric). So the logic of the story is thus:
Musharraf would use Prince Talal (one of the richest man on the planet, note not “eplanet”) as an intermediary to wire billions out of Pakistan and thereafter Prince Talal can then give this to eplanet again 10 out of 10 for the detective workNOT. Oh yeah and the Ambassador Karim (ex-Naval chief) can oversee the transaction so he could use his Pak Naval connection to load and transfer the greenbacks on Pak Naval ships to Saudi. Perhaps, Ary or Geo can use your script for their next big drama serial!!!
How about tackling the existing cases of money-laundering. Mr Nawaz and a certain Zar-dollari spring to mind!!!
Ciao

strange but ture share it with every concern pakistani
Having personally known Bilal’s wife (being her class fellow at LUMS)and having met Bilal a few times, I too have issues absorbing all that is being said about him. Bilal and his wife do not seem to be the kind of people likely to indulge in illegal money making activities by virtue of Bilal’s father’s position. However, the way Mr. Musharraf is treating our country for the past 8 years, this is only a natural outcome of it all. After all, there is not really much ordinary Pakistanis can do to vent their frustration and such allegations follow as a consequence. I hope we get rid of “Uncle” Musharraf soon……
@pejamistri:
in that case, i guess we ALL are a nation of gidhs…..frankly, it is an excellent novel but i really dont fancy the haram gene concept :-)
@above
i agree — the novel is great but the haraam/halaal theory is not really convincing — seems Bano Aapa is too impressed with Mododi’s teachings!
@atif
Application of haram gene concept is not immediate , just like darwin’s theory of natural selection , it takes centuries in fact thousands of years to become a reality. It will be interesting to study the lineage of Pervez Musharraf (who calls himself “Syed” — a balatant lie) , to understand how the people like him are produced by the nature. I firmly believe that tyrants are not product of their environment or upbringing , it is all about negative genes. I am not concerned about Bilal Musharraf as I am sure it will not be our generation who can be affected by him, it is many generation down the road who may be affected by his negative genes and that too provided that one of his decendant gets a chance like his father :)
Lets look at the signs here of premeditated intent and gradual stepping into the murkiness of corruption and having a powerful father;
He left his job in actuarial services to join ADIA for internship.(Gone were the days of of Halal earnings)
He got wads of Cash left around him, at which point he was ‘incapable of dealing with the situation’. (A principled person, is principled regardless of how many wads they find lying around them. Give it back and be all righteous about it. But our indecisive friend decided to use this money to setup a charity. (Good deed but selectively applied, the fact remains that he has no right to that money. And unfortunately thats a principle that no one knows in Pakistan.)
Gift watches worth more than 20 lakhs. (Ethically, this is high value gift and should be declared so, within the organisation and always declined). But again, he didnt wanna piss the arabs off so he excepted and the unleashed the ‘now familiar’ good deed charity option.
So on and So on. How many us on this website can refuse such riches if they come our way. Not many I guess. So it confirms, that Bilal is a weak fellow, who loves money and can depend upon the ‘Charity’ option to centre the compass of his morality. I know quite a few pakistanis like him, doing charity to wash off their sins. It doesnt matter what we think, its what they think is right that matters. So while we support the democratic hoarders to continue their loot, let us allow for these well educated morally choosy son of generals to hoarde what they can too. At least we get some 0.0000000000001% back in charity right.
I would caution against speculating. ePlanet is a reputable Venture firm, headquartered in the United States.
Though, I will question the timing of such a deal, given Pervez Musharraf is half way out the door…even here in the Silicon Valley, well healed Pakistani expat professionals and entrepreneurs are talking - kiya izaat raha gayee…
As to the Ambassador being present, this is their job to support investors coming to Pakistan. However, sadly many a times they are more of a hindrance to well meaning Pakistan ex-pats working to bring foreign investment into the country.
@Obi Wan Kenobi
for the love of god STOP defending Mush junior, just read that email again which you pasted..
I found a wad of cash that was slipped into the box of a collapsible putter sent by a member of the Royal Family.
I had received an attempted wire transfer of $1M
My wife and I received watches as gifts from the Royal family that I did not know what to do with.
I ended up asking my father to intervene and have a chat with the Sheikh and explain to him why I could not accept it.
isn’t it all too obvious that he regularly gets large sums, gifts and gratifications and all of that is meant for Son of Pakistani Dictator and not for Bilal Musharraf himself…
answer a simple question had Mush not abrogated constitution on 12th oct 1999 and had not been clinging to power on gun point and not been at the helm of affairs , would Mush jr still have gotten all those gifts and gratifications and favours?
Offcourse NOT, he was showered with all that money only coz he was son of pakistani dictator..
charity with illegal/corruption money is quite common trend these days and corrupt people normally take that route to silence their conscience..
DOWN WITH THE DICTATOR
This is the same old story. Look don’t go far. Just the last dictator’s history is enouhg to prove that these rascles do not come into power for nothing. They want power to corrupt the society and to earn a handful of money.
Zia’s biography will tell you that he was an ordinary man. After his “momin” rule ended in the famous crash, his sons (both of whom were earning bread and butter by doing jobs) started poitcs. What is the source of theri income? Yet they roam arounf in limos and live a luxorious life.
What about Gen Akhter Abdur Rehamn? His son is now one of the most richest persons of Lahore if not Pakistan due to the huge sums he inheritted from his father.
Why Mush the dictator is after CJP Iftejhar Ch? He was made the target as sson as he stopped the loot sale of Pakistan Steel mills. Before that he was acceptable. Immediately after, he was to be shot.
A mere glance at the team chosen by the corrupt dictator would prove his class and mentality. The Chouries of Gujrat, Naqvi, Shepao, Sher Afgan, Sheikh Rasheed, MQM, Khalid Ranjha, Shareef Uddin __ zada, Malik Qayyum, Doger, Abbassi Wasi Zafer, Mahmood Ghalat Bayani, Rasjid Qureshi (feel ashamed to call him a retd gen like his boss) etc etc.
The dictator has taking the country as hostage. It is a qabza group that has taken contrl of the country. Look the army house is under illegal ocupation, Supreme Court of Pakistan and Karachi both are under seige too.
We don’t want any proof. We know we Pakistani hate the dictator and we have given verdict already on Feb 18, 2008 when dictator and his chums were thrown in the dustbin. We want to restore the judiciary that actually had the courage to stand against the political ambitions of the military dictator.
How cean Bilal and his father are, we are soon going to know Insha Allah as a true people’s govt is about to be foremd and then every Pakistani will hear the shocking tales of the big corruption by dictator and his team.
Bilal you have any courage left then come and see the Pakistan ur father is handing over to the new govt. Leave your safe heaven in USA and come live in Karachi if you dare so. See how many hours the electricity is available in the industrial hub of Pakistan. Your father was busy while strengthening his rule and he never bothered to start a single power generation project in Pakistan and people of Pakistan are plunging in darkness these days and cursing your dad all the time.
A FINAL ADVICE BILAL! CHECK THE CREDENTIALS OF MALIK QAYYUM FIRST. A MERE LOOK AT HIS TRACK RECORD WILL TELL YOU FOR SURE THAT HE IS TAKING YOUR SENSELESS FATHER TO THE GALLOWS. DON’T FORGET MY WORDS. THE DICTATOR WILL BE HANGED IF HE DID NOT SURRENDER TO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE SOON BECAUSE HE WOULD BE CHARGED OF SUBVERTING THE CONSTITUTION SOON AS SOON AS THE TRUE JUDICIARY IS RESTORED INSHA ALLH.
Most of the comments here are just political rhetoric with absolutely no facts to back them up. Just because of the picture of Bilal Musharraf with the Saudi Billionaire everyone here seems to have concluded that Bilal Musharraf is jet-setting around the world doing multi-billion dollar deals with stolen money.
I do agree that being the President’s son opens many doors for you and the ambassador should not have been there. But then that is a minor crime when compared with the past excesses of our rulers.
The facts please: What companies does he or Musharraf own? What billion dollar deals are you referring to? Isn’t he working as an employee in the said company or he owns it but choses to be the vice president and not the CEO? What properties inside and outside Pakistan does he own (Not talking about the numerous plots that every general gets)?
The reasoning by some here is that if your parents were poor or from middle class background you do not deserve to be so successful - This is the exclusive right of the landed aristocracy.
Hell, I am damned… what a surprise… come to think of it I must be the most failed abdalian around…
Hey Billal, good show buddy, which entry are you from…which wing was lucky enough to house you, have they changed the name of Jinnah wing to Billal wing or was it Aurangzeb or Iqbal or Liaquat…
I am sure you are a great talent and you deserve it all, though wish you had stayed in Pakistan and helped the country with your talents - but then who knows you may have been picked up by NAB in that case… but then I dont think so since NAB is your father’s cottage industry…
I am sure you would have been where you are anyway even if your father had retired as a major…I am sure that no one has ever given you weightage for being the son of a President who is the only guarrantee against terrorism… on the other hand, who knows if your father was not president, if you were not forced to curb your ambitions and maintain a low profile while the price of flour went up at home - you may have even taken over microsoft by now and put Bill Gates where he belongs… sorry lad, tough luck, life is a bitch, only if you didnt have to live under your fathers shadow… I know, I understand your pain… and Long live Cadet College Hasanabdal… let the new President be from the CCH, lets make Billal President, he has good exposure…
And by the way, does this mean that the Pakistani consulates will from now on assist each and every Pakistani nationals - is it true, please tell me… but I thought that would be a great risk unless the integrity of a national was beyond reproach like that of Billal… but how does one determine whether the integrity is beyond reproach or not…please tell me…
and what in the bloody hell is the pakistani ambassador doing with a US national doing business from a US platform… and why is his body langauge so submissive… as if he is sitting next to the replica of a master president…
The only thing I want to say about the above comments is
Jaisay Awam Waisay Hukmuran
They rather love and support Bilawal, who inherited to be able to kick the fate of Pakistan by just adding Bhutto to his name. Who does not know Urdu, didnot spend any time in Pakistan, fond of girls and alcohol, dumb as hell. Doesnot know nothing about the Pakistani politics but still this Idiot was saying in press conference in London that Pakistan will break, if PPP doesnot win the elections.
Now I start to believe that we deserve people like Mr.10% and son, and Mr.Bhagora bros. and family to rule Pakistan.
@MileStone: You forgot to mention the name of Paija Painch**d Musharraf. We do deserve losers like him too, right?
To suspect another’s motifs without reasonable information is not merely speculation, my dear.
If Bilal were carrying out a hanky-panky deal, why would he invite media in - this is no hidden camera photo?
There are Pakistanis, including you, who have attempted to raise investment for and funds for Pakistan. You raised a considerable amount for the Earthquake relief. Could one speculate you put half of that in your pocket? Yes. Speculation is that easy and inconsiderate.
Please consider the importance and audience of your blog - and the impact that it has. Unless you have concrete information, would you not support another Pakistani in their attempt to help Pakistan? Think about it.
I hope that we are able to separate one thing from another. People look up to blogs and opinions such as those that appear on Teeth Maestro. It’s not an easy world out there trying to convince the larger world to view Pakistan in a different light - to give people a chance.
The cost of pointless envy of those Pakistani who have made it (and are now attempting to give back) - and to accuse them - is ultimately borne by all the people and the projects. It’s not easy to convince international clients and investors to even outsource a web development project to the country, because they quote Pakistanis’ perennial lack of confidence in ourselves and our fellow citizens.
I have made a personal pact too: That I will not even malign the ugly politicians that we have to someone abroad. Why? When we have elected these leaders or allow them to be elected?
And can we - just by any chance - bring out the good in them by affirming it? The real world is much more enormous and complex than simple judgments can value.
On a different - it’s our national character and utter stupidity to envy and back-stab those fellow Pakistanis who made. Well, once they’ve reached a place where they can give back from, they ARE giving back.
Awab the author himself has brought much abundance to causes such as the Earthquake relief! Should we envy him? SHhould we not support him? Should we start making faces, “Oh bhui dentist hai, loot-ta hoga!”
This is nonsensical slander and we should have more individual self-respect than hoping the world to crumple so that our own inactions (not making good of our lives) can be justified.
My rant is not about Bilal or Bilawal, it’s about the sick mentality which is basically this: “I hope it wasn’t him, it was me making that much money!” (While entirely forgetting that he must have studied hard to be who he is!)
Its obvious from Ambassador’s body language that he simply has no business being there and is simply clueless as to whats being discussed, and he is merely accompanying/facilitating and taking care of protocol for B Mush Jr on the orders of Islamabad.
Ambassador is merely acting as a protocol officer for King Mush junior plus eplanet is not a Pakistan based company and am sure they’re not talking about any investment in Pakistan either, they don’t even have a branch office is Pakistan.
“The Company has developed a fully integrated network of offices located in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Bangalore, New Delhi, London and Silicon Valley, as well as a presence in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Tokyo.”
@Ramla - I think I understand where you come from, but when you say “I have made a personal pact too: That I will not even malign the ugly politicians that we have”
well I believe its a personal choice, you may have chosen to believe in ‘a better image’ struggle while I on the other hand truly feel its important to say whats wrong, for me watching these corrupt leaders make minced meat out of my country is something I cannot and will not tolerate specially when the poor continue to die from starvation. A post is being composed [at the moment] of a medical relief camp which I took part in to Dhuran, Baluchistan, a bunch of villages 300km deep inside Baluchistan where I was not only shocked but flabbergasted as to the level of poverty. The rampant stories there, were quite simply of corrupt politicians pushing the paperwork for roads, schools and hospitals but NOTHING ever got developed but on occasions same thing developed multiple times over [on paper] and the money siphoned off into their pockets. When you look at the plight of these poor people with not even a hint of medical support let alone other basic necessities one seriously feels angered at these politicians
I feel crooks should not be protected but fully exposed… and any corrupt politicians who chooses to make money from looting our country deserves no mercy. At least surely does not deserve to come under the Positive-Pakistan-image protection scheme
Bilal Musharraf here may be on an innocent business trip [I give him license for that] but mind you ePlanet is a registered entity in the US and does not have a single office in Pakistan, they have listed offices in every place including Bangalore and New Delhi but not a single location in Pakistan. So what does the Pakistani Ambassador have sitting like a lame duck in the corner twirling his fingers.
In your other questions regarding the EQ relief - yes its easy to be labeled a crook specially when you handle financial matter, prime example for me was the Earthquake relief - I made it important to officially hand over the check and then even posted a picture of it, not for the ’sake of popularity’ but for the sake of ‘personal integrity’ god-forbid I were to ever be accuse of money siphoning - ;) I thank my lords I published it way back in 2005. When dealing with public funding one has to be extra careful in every step he/she takes even en-grained within our religion. But do our own leaders ever care….. about afterlife….
All said - I am aware that we both value the image of Pakistan dearly but we might have simply adopted a different approach, who amongst us is right - we cant know….. we simply hope the best for Pakistan
Is he the same person who invested in Rozee.pk and the owner of rozee.pk is a son of an army officer …. bloody hell these lot sucks!!! they all should be kicked out from pakistan… we need honest ppl not looters.
Ek randi ka bacha Pervez Musharraf
Ek kutti ka bacha Pervez Musharraf
Ek kanjri ka bacha Pervez Musharraf
Ek soor ka bacha Pervez Musharraf
Inspiration: “Bankrupt Relationship” article in Daily Telegraph that says, “In the old parlance General Pervez Musharraf in “our sonofbaitch.’”. (para 2, line1)
This is British press at it’s ultimate best.

No use quoting western press on the issue of Musharraf.
They are not criticising him for the way he came to power but because he is not doing all that they want: “He has failed to stamp out extremist groups and close the madrassas that inspire them. He has allowed the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan to fall into the hands of assorted jihadis”
Locally he is being criticized for exactly the opposite.
They think the politicians will tow their line even more so they have suddenly started calls for democracy.
The point here is not what Bilal and Asad Jamal are doing in the meeting it is what His Excellency is doing sitting like an idiot. Eplanet ventures is a silicon valley based firm with offices in several countries including INDIA, but they don’t have a presense in Pakistan, The ambassador has no business being there, for that matter the meeting would have been hard to arrange without the presidents help, the fact the Bilal Musharraf is working for eplanet is that he gets to open lots of doors for Asad Jamal by being the president’s son.
I have been an expat for over 15 years the pressence of Ambassadors in business deals of companies based in america is not part of their official duties, I know numerous businessmen and enterprenuers who don’t have the privalage of their countries ambassador sitting like a lame duck in their meeting to “facilitate” them. Try going to any Pakistani Embassy abroad for a problem without a “PAWA” and see what kind of a protocol you get. Then come here and comment about the presidents son doing good for the country.
Mr Obi Van Kenobi, Don’t act like a “Parha Likha Jahil” and misguide people with your false information of Bilal’s grandeur and that there are no more then 10 Actuaries in Pakistan. In my graduating class alone in 1 college out of thousands I had “3″ actuaries. You expect people to believe that there are 10 actuaries in the whole of Pakistan.
IN SIMPLE TERMS IT MEANS TURNING BLACK MONEY INTO WHITE.
WALEED OWNS MAJOR SHARE IN ‘FOUR SEASONS’ HOTEL CHAIN
AND ‘MOVENPICK’ AND ‘FAIRMONT’…..I GUESS MUSH IS
INVESTING ALL HIS ILL-GOTTEN MONEY THROUGH HIS SON IN
THE HOSPITALITY BUSINESS….ALSO, SHOWKAT AZIZ IS ALSO
PART OF THIS GAME, SINCE HE IS A ‘GOOD’ FRIEND OF
WALEED.
dont paint him as a saint, how the hell he managed to attend such expensive educational institutions, if he is such a saint he should have gone to Govt. Primary School Cheeho ki malliyan and then would have sermoned us about his austerity. it is all tax payers money the live on.
The subject of this post is extremely misleading: “Bilal Musharaf cashin in..”
Certainly being the President’s son opens doors for you. However, apart from the presense of the ambassador, there is nothing to suggest that anything illegal or immoral is going on.
If Bilal Musharaf really wanted to cash in he would have more than ample oppurtunities inside Pakistan rather than toiling away at a job in America, where even being the son of a Pakistani President does not count for much.
Musharraf should not have gone to China. They love eating p!gs and dogs. Bilal Musharraf Quereshi, why didn’t you stop your dad?
I hope they don’t eat Musharraf.
This is ridiculous. I mean, think about it this way:
Asad hires Bilal for his contacts. Bilal is not close to the prince himself, but he has ways of getting to him. So Bilal asks his friend, evidently the ambassador, to get him in contact with the prince. Obviously the ambassador would accompany the two business men to the meeting if he’s the one introducing them.
Yeah, it is a simplified way to look at it, and I’m positive it is the entire reason for his presence there. I doubt it’s that easy to meet a prince without contacts. I mean, have you even read this guy’s book? He definitely does not have time to spend on “insignificant” business deals when he could be somewhere else. Thus, it only makes sense for the Ambassador’s presence at the time. And do you guys have any idea who Asad Jamal is? Too successful to need government money. And seems too wise to get involved in any case. Look him up.
And ontop of that, even if it WAS a “scandal,” I doubt these people would be so CARELESS as to have a camera present at a time and allow it to be so publicized. Obviously they aren’t threatened by this conspiracy because there’s nothing to be threatened by.
- Sean
Folks, cool it - you guys are over reacting, this is nothing but a simple business deal taking place. As Sean mentioned, the Ambassador was probably the one who connected ePlanet to the prince. I would ask conspiracy theorists to cool it. No conspiracy to be found here.
Well i DUno when we ppl will keep blaming these bloody politicians and generals. We are the one who choose them in the elections, so better no to cry dat much now! .. you all should face it n bear it. This thing will never end eva! i knw dat, so its better no to waste my tym in typing here.
~ DUno when we will end this Blame gAMe, when we know dat we Pakiz are killing each others n support no one except our relatives or fnds, we treat other paki bro n sis lyk our enemies~ — Duno when we will learn from China n INdia how they are progressing n how their YouTh is united! but In Pak youTh is bzy in SeXual activities , imaginary gf bf worLD huh!!..
Anywayz i m ending it ryt herE ! .. ThinK carefully evEryonE.. before posting nething!
Well Well Son of dictator getting what ever he wants to is nothing new from Iajazul Haq to Humayun Akhtar and now this kid no matter how one justifies this is what the true face of dictator is a dictator is an usurper will anyone tell me how the boy got world class education in first place being a son of paki fauji how many of paki faujis son got themselves where the guys is given the salary of a fauji it is an impossible task to get into a good school in pakistan what to say of a foreign institute but ALL IS GOOD TRUE AND LEGAL AS FAR AS SON OF DICTATOR GOES
For you all who think polititians are Saint and everying person in Military is currupt. Please OPEN YOUR EYES. Musharaf is better than most politicians how keep lying to people of Pakistan like Nawaz Sharif. As per Geo news today, Rice prices have been doubled in last 15 days so where he is now and where is his add saying “in my rule, Aata was 7 rupee a kg” ??? These politicians in the name of Democracy, do all the same bad things they used to critizie their opponants, but give lam exceuses in sugar coated words and our paid media support them.
If anyone think that after few time people will hear shocking stories of curruption of Musharaf, it is not big deal. Anyone can make stories on table to justiify their existance. This is our history that every new comer says that former was currupt. If this is true that all the figures of economic growth and countries progress given by any former govt. may be false, then we dont have any meter to measure countries development and progress except we come out of our homes and see the roads, parks, buildings, hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, ports, markets etc. and if we are honest, we would have to accept that Musharaf did best of all those dumb politicians.
I know Musharaf is not a Saint, he may have made some mistakes but what alternate Paki’s have choosen is like choosing dacates for watchmaning against a good watchman who some times get asleep in nights. Always keep in mind that path is not important but the goal, so if country progress well in military or other rule, we don’t want to lick democracy.
If many of us (non-acturians) could understand what is right and what is wrong and could tell our parents then why couldn’t an acturian (factually-more-intelligent)? Is he kept unaware of what Daily Telegraph’s sonofabitch is doing with the state in general and the nation in particular!
My dear fellows, let us not forget that the latest Mughal Emperor was found begging on the streets of Yangoon and we should hope and pray the same in favour of the plunderers and those interest groups who seek to gain advantage over the cost of national interest! Needless to remind the inability of our rulers, especially military rulers, to learn lesson from history.
in all sincerety, i would like to congratulate bilal on his incentives to draw investments into Pakistan. Also for all you people who have problems with his way of doing things.
Do we remember bilawals birthday where a place of PIA ws sent to dubai to get MC Donald sandwiches. Have we forgotten the ferrari that nawaz sharifs kid drives in UK. At least bilal got a scholarship and paid the rest from his money he saved as an acturist. Unlike hassan sharif, whose fees was paid by that company that was bankrupted soon after takeover of musharraf.
We forget easy, the times of these rogue politicians and the reason why we had musharraf. if the international events of 911 have made the world a different place and the general was not able to deliver to his promises he made when he came to power, it is understandable. We have seen the british, American, spanish leaders all loose their public image towards protecting their country. but for us to go about and aimlessly point fingers at others is sic downright.
Get a life, look outside the box. just because every one in your family was raped once does not make you a bastard…
ePlanet has failed in every project it has attempted in Pakistan. It was given 10 acres by DHA Karachi 3 years ago and all they needed to do was pay US% 5 million to the Defence Housing Authority which they failed to do. That project was sold in the public while the land got confiscated from them. ePlanet is not a name that holds any credibility in Karachi…I can tell you that from first hand experience.
Secondly, ePlanet attempted to purchase 200 acres in Clifton, Karachi. They committed an amount of US$ 200 million and were unable to pay. Again, the project was taken away from them and is now either with Aref Habib Group or Nakheel from the UAE.
Finally, ePlanet’s office at Park Towers in Karachi was a beautiful 5,000 square foot office. Unfortunately, they couldn’t pay the telephone bills, electricity bills, the rent, or their employee’s salaries. If you went to their office you would see a bunch of notices outside their door. I don’t think that ePlanet even has an office in Pakistan anymore and I’m 100% sure that if you ask anyone in Karachi about them, they will tell you not to do business with them. I would have hoped that Bilal Musharraf would have chosen a more reputable group than this one to take with him to Prince Waleed…..I personally would be ashamed to associate my name with this company in Pakistan. The CEO in Pakistan was Navaid Yusuf……I just don’t get how they can pitch such big projects in Pakistan when they can’t even afford to pay their employees. All their employees finally left after losing several months pay and hope that this company would ever come back into operation….what the heck is going on with Bilal Mush?
Oh please, speculation all around! We’re saying such things as if the pure politicians haven’t done anything. We know how an exiled PM sold a land gifted to him in KSA, and now hez vying for the judiciary. Isnt it?
Blames apart, that was just an example and not meant to pinpoint. Bilal Musharraf is a highly educated and respected person. And he is ALSO the son of the honorable President of Pakistan (whether someone likes the president or not is a different issue!). So, the protocol (probably).
Then, it has NOT been proven so we should stop speculating.
Utter nonsense!
Dear all sick people who hate Musharraf just for nothing….
Just read “Zyxius” comments above with OPEN EYES & MINDS (if you have any), It clearly reveal that Musharraf DO NOT SUPPORT HIS SON OR HIS COMPANY AT ALL otherwise if Bilal was sone of Nawaz Sharif or Zardari, eplanel would have purchased everything is Pakistan… What u bastards say now ????
Ali Murad…you make a good point. The picture is quite clear that ePlanet could have been given a lot due to the Bilal Mush connection but it wasn’t. My concern is why Bilal Mush or even the Big Mush for that matter are associating with such a shady company which has ripped off everyone it came into contact with in Pakistan. Ask any estate agent in Defense Karachi about ePlanet and they will tell you that its a group of scam artists. It gives fuel to the fire when you don’t take care about who you associate with and we all know there are enough people who want to blame Mush for anything and everything under the sun. My recommendation to Bilal M would be to seek out a more reputable company and associate with them. Afterall, if Prince Waleed agreed to put up money…the last thing you would want would be for Asad Jamal to screw up the project and bring a bad name not only to the Musharraf’s, but also to our country.
When PIA’s flight for Dehli could be kept on waiting in 1998 by making reason of technical problem and harrassing pessengers , as Huusain Sharif had to go to finalise his father’s business deal for sugar mill. So what is the problem? if Mr. Bilal got special protocol.GEO Musharaf, a dictator who left lesson to all politicians how to do politics.Pakistan Zindabad.
i had heard so much abt this web page from so many different sources n thought mayb its worth a penny but seeing how moderators are publishing stories here i can’t say if my views are same any more. criticism is good but baseless criticsim?i thought i was coming into a community of learned men/women but well quite disappointed. as far as all this speculation is concerned its utterly absurd!!totally ignorant and vile.
Get a job people. How come you say -ve things about Musharraf. Go find +ve things to do. Always blaming ‘others’ but munching on biryani.

Bilal Musharraf,
Can you please post the award winning dance of your grandma on youtube. She is said to be quite a dancer in the book, In the Line of Fire.
Please share with the rest. You need not be afraid of the stupid mullas. It is the era of enlightened moderation.
I was dissappointed that your dad did not share intimate details of his relationship with Rashid Quershi and his wife un the Line of Fire. Some photographs and accounts of this very close relationship would be nice too. I am a big fan of your dad!
Musharrf ka jo hami hai
Haramai hai harami hai
Masroor, Your facts are nothing but lies. there are more people today under the poverty than there were in 1999.
It is so unfortunate that hating a person we cross all limits. Pakistan Army has manpower around half million and around 200 generals at any time. This half million strength is patriotic and living hand to mouth financially. They sacrifice thier confort for the security of everyone of us. Has anyone ever calculated as to how many soldiers give their life in mountains of Kashmir and glaciers of Siachen.
Please do not blame millions of patriotic soldiers for the sake of few. They need respect for what they do which very few other will do.
Regarding corruption, in half million, you can always find few corrupt as soldeirs are not angels either. How about other sections of society.
This is a case of BUGHZ E MUAVIA and not HUBBE ALI.
The verse above was not directed at anyone. This was chanted at teh lawyers’ convention.
As for the army, it was the most oppressed institution during Mush era. He treated the army as his fiefdom where generals were treated like personal slaves of Musharraf.
“Love Pakistan” you need to apologize for even implying that the lawyers said what they said about the Pak army. We should leave Pak army out of these discussions.

what a great find…
