Musharraf to Address Nation Tomorrow with Polling Date amidst SMS Rumors
It now seems the Pervez Musharraf will take center stage to address his humble servants tomorrow evening for a presidential address to the nation at 8pm Pakistan Standard Time. His speech is expected to be about the new election date which the election commission of Pakistan cannot confirm.
A number of SMS chains making their usual rounds say the new election date will most likely be February 11th - which in my estimate is not likely as the month of Muharam would have just finished and humble religions restrictions during the month of Muharam does not permit a proper electioneering, which the PML-Q desperately needs to do. My guesstimate to the probable date will most likely be is a date closer to the end of February if not early March.
The other rumor making the rounds have him finally stepping down from the post of President of Pakistan after the elections. “After the elections” is like the promise of a better tomorrow which will never come. This fib will be difficult to swallow but if he actually does say that, then the people of Pakistan should be provided with assurances, and nothing better then issuing a Presidential Order to undo all the constitutional changes to the original virgin 1973 constitution. I would strongly suggest to reconstitute a new election commission as the people of Pakistan have lost faith in its credibility, they look more like puppets then actual dignified people entrusted with the noble task of conducting elections
So lets keep our fingers crossed but all said my solution still looks a little better, but maybe this can be one step forward

Javed 11 Feb is confirmed but its shortly after Muharram. Dawn News and IBN/CNN confirmed 11th Feb.

IMHO it is next to impossible that General (Retd.) Musharraf would give a date for stepping down. He may however in some way extend an olive branch to Zardari, which I am not sure what it could be.
I don’t know why I am thinking that tomorrow’s speach will be a true dictator’s speech , threatening dire consequences to his opponents.
