Afridi a Cheat But What About the English
How could an English series in Pakistan not be involved in controversy. The 2nd test match being played at Faisalabad is going knee deep into another controversial series. 1st day was marred by a bump catch of Mohd Yousuf c&b Bell. It was clear on replay that Bell dropped the ball on the pitch and re-gripped it, turned around to appeal to the Umpire and Yousuf was shown the finger. An honest mistake, fine, but what bugs me, was for that same honest mistake Rashid Latif was served a 5-match ban for a bump catch, which the umpire also declared out, but at a later hearing the match referee adjudged that Rashid guilty of cheating and served him a third degree offense. We all were stunned at such a harsh decision.
The 2nd day in this Faisalabal test was also interesting, a loud explosion was heard on the field it sounded more like a bomb blast and immediately the English players started running into the pavilion but later we found that it was just an exploding Pepsi gas cylinder Whew, that was a close one!, during all this commotion an innocent looking Afridi casually walks up onto the danger area of the pitch with spikes does a 180 degree spin and walks off literally scuffing up the pitch. Cheater caught on camera, he has just now been served with a lenient 3-match ban - he should have been thrown out, it was disgraceful and utterly embarrassing for Pakistan, boot him out for all I care as I don’t like cheats and cheaters who destroy the image of my country - Banish that Asshole.
Controversies just don’t stop here for this 2nd day, where the third umpire made a grave mistake of declaring Inzamam run out where according to the ICC rule book he was only avoiding the ball in self defence and was barely stepping out of the crease (I thought he was in).
Afridi I hold fully responsible, I do not protect him in this cheating incident and am utterly embarrassed by this act. I am fuming at the bump catch by Bell it may seem like an honest mistake but no one thought about it being a mistake when handing out the 5-match ban for Latif. I honestly feel there is a big skin discrimination in the ICC - more so called the White-Skin-Brown-Skin twist of the rules to suit the whitey English players.

shobz they are arseholes of the highest order. they have to resort to pettiness coz they know that they dont have any chances of winning the series. i am not a fan of cricket but then i want Pakistan to win. i agree with you when you say that inzamam’s dismissal was unjust. screw them all. pakis rule. :)
Wajahat What is this all hoo-haa about this Inzamam’s decision. I watched the whole match and to me inzamam was standing outside his crease, so the bowler has every right of hiting the stumps which he did. Also Inzamam was given out by our pakistani umpire “Nadeem Ghouri”(3rd umpire), not by simon or hair.

They are also a bunch of idiots, look how much hospitality we gave them wen they come to pakistan, which we dont no recieve back, wen we go to india we are treated like dogz
Well to be honest Afridi deserved the ban. He is such a great player and well followed everywhere around the world. Many youngster and people take him as a role model so he should set good examples. However I must say, Umpiring has been one sided so far. Inzamam’s out shows ignorance of umpires from the rules. No rule in the cricketing book suggests a batsmen can be out that way. Umpires Simon Taufel and Daryll Hair should be asked about that, they are umpires of higher level and they forgot the rule.
Englishmen always bring different players as substitutes most of the times other than their twelveth man and they should be punished as well by the match refree.
But i think Pakistan will win the series in the 2nd match InshaAllah and Amen.
