Attack Mecca !!
A US Congressman while giving an interview to a radio station (WFLA-AM Orlando, FL) advised the US Military to “Take Out” Islamic holy sites if Muslim fundamentalist terrorists attacked the country with nuclear weapons.
Talk show host Pat Campbell asked the Littleton Republican Tom Tancredo how the country should respond if terrorists struck several U.S. cities with nuclear weapons. “Well, what if you said something like — if this happens in the United States, and we determine that it is the result of extremist, fundamentalist Muslims, you know, you could take out their holy sites,” Tancredo answered.
“You’re talking about bombing Mecca,” Campbell said.
“Yeah,” Tancredo responded.
The congressman later said he was “just throwing out some ideas” and that an “ultimate threat” might have to be met with an “ultimate response.”

………I am speechless at such a ‘poor choice of words’ by an elected representative to the US Congress. I think its about time we gave the Congressman a good bashing for such a poor statement, What’s you reaction?

It’s more of a knee jerk reaction, as this congressman no longer understands that 10,000 nukes ain’t going to stop anyone. Back in the ‘good old days’ when the US waved a nuke at anyone they quickly got back in line, and these senators must be really fustrated that its no longer working.

Sad but true.a hard fact about their mentallity. there have been attachments and emails roaming around the web world about such actions even. they are damn dead meat heads.
they were always on that point, but they bashed it out when a threat to their lives is ringing-on!

actually this sentiment is not that surprising - i’ve been discussing the bombings with people here, and have met atleast 2 people who think the best retaliation would be that for every bombing, we level one of the holy sites in Mecca / Medina as punishment.
Jon - I can understand the frustration being faced by everyone - and can even sense the need for sweet revenge, but an attack on a holy site can become simply catastrophic. I condone all acts of terrorism - Put yourself in another situation, would a christian be willing to tolerate an attack on the Vatican, I bet the answer would be a resounding NO. Similarly even we innocent Muslims (the real non-terrorising muslims) can not even think about an attack on Mecca, that would literally create disaterous reaction. So to even bring such a threat into the overall picture is akin to picking a fight.
That said, I can understand the frustrations faced by the non-muslim people. Let me reiterate again that these actions are done by people who claim to be muslims overtly but actually are non believers, they have been in a way brain washed into a different religion altogether which I assure you is NOT Islam.
A real muslim can NEVER take the life of innocent people, it is simply NOT allowed in Islam. You might argue what about jihad - Jihad is a very controlled religious war with many restrictions on the militants, in Islam you are ONLY allowed to attack the military combatants who attack you and Jihadi’s are NOT even allowed to touch or harm the innocent public bystanders. Its simply against the religion.
I totally agree with everything you say. And of course my immediate reply to anyone who suggests that is “what you’re talking about is pissing off two billion muslims and world war three”.
But they do have a point - if the moderate muslims and the muslim governments don’t get their shit togther and clean up the mess in their countries, then a time will come when the West will get major pissed at being affected by it and decide to clean up the shit for us (like they’re doing it in Iraq and Afgh), and by then the Muslims would’ve lost the right to whine if they bomb those places.

Iam am not surprised, in USA we a few more like Rev. Billy Graham, Rev. LOL, what more can be expected from jews? According to my beleif its impossible, seocndly even if it happens, it wont deter it would rather compel and the innocent muslims would also become the so-called terrorists for USA. By killing thoiusands of innocent muslims and top of it the holy site, the attack would give birth to thousands of Usamas, and blowing up mecca will result in ultimte power for muslims left with no weakness.
